Setting | Tengoku

Tengoku 天国
The Tengu Nation of the Western Kingdom, Tengoku is comprised of dozens of floating cities located throughout Nippon. Travel between these cities is done using special Teleportation Terminals. Due to their reclusive nature, Tengu culture often forbids young Tengu from visiting the surface below. As a result, Yokai on the surface have been led to believe that Tengu are quite rare.
Currently, only the city of Miyazaki is open for Refugees to explore as they please, using Teleportation Terminals located in Tokyo and Kyoto.
Due to the scattered nature of the Tengu cities, they'll include the closest applicable region on the surface, but bear in mind there is no way to safely access these regions by simply flying or jumping.
Miyazaki 宮崎 Kyushu, Western Kingdom

Considered the capital city of Tengoku, Miyazaki is among the largest of the Tengu cities. Comprised of a single, massive amount of land that towers upward, and numerous smaller islands that float up and around the main part of the city, the streets of Miyazaki are certainly not built with those who can't fly in mind. Refugees who arrive via teleporter will be given special backpacks with wings that will enable flight while visiting the city.
Miyakonojo
The largest island of Miyazaki and where the bulk of the business corridor is located. Buildings are packed together tightly, weaving in and out of the island through a system of tunnels. Mysterious magic-powered technology can be found all around the city, but the appearance is quite different from the more modern magi-tech.Landmarks:Shimazu Garden: A massive public garden located on the highest point of Miyakonojo. Unique plants found nowhere else in Nippon are known to grow here.
Liquid Happiness: A natural phenomenon found only in Tengu cities on days when it rains. The rain develops an enhancement due to close proximity with the ring that surrounds the planet, causing feelings of euphoria.
Skytower スカイタワー Chubu, Eastern Kingdom

Often obscured by the clouds, Skytower is more of a lookout point than an actual city. Known for being the only one that floats through the Eastern Kingdom, the Skytower is predominantly populated by Tengu monks and nuns who watch over Mt. Fuji, and serve to warn both kingdoms in the event of disaster. It is not currently accessible to player characters.
