Welcome to Nippon! 日本へようこそ！
Nippon is a country divided into two kingdoms: the Eastern Kingdom of Humans in Tokyo, and the Western Kingdom of Yokai in Kyoto. Magic is commonplace throughout Nippon, though less and less Humans are bothering to learn how to cast it with the development of magi-tech.

Although travel between kingdoms has always been allowed, it is only recently that travel has become accessible thanks to the opening of the Kyoto-Tokyo underground rail. Normally this trip takes 5 hours, but is shortened to only 10 minutes on Sundays due to a time surge (though it is a remarkably unpleasant 10 minutes).

As of April '22, Refugees are able to instantaneously travel using Teleportation Terminals between Tokyo (NRL), Kyoto (MRU), Kyushu, and Tengoku (Miyazaki).
